I started using computers in junior high school. My first computer related class was BASIC programming. Since that time, I have used computers for school assignments, budgeting, presentations, communication, storing and editing artwork, collecting and listening to music, and teaching myself. Computers play a big part in my daily life, so I’m thankful for them

Thank You 16 – Twitter

When I first started using Twitter, I thought it was going to be a fun little internet toy to play with occasionally. It has proved to me much more. Just in the first two weeks of 2010 news about friends and events has come through on Twitter before I saw it anywhere else. Twitter also creates a sense of community that sometimes is absent on the web.

Thank You 12 – Facebook

This thank you is not for the games and applications on Facebook, but because Facebook has given me the ability to reconnect with people I lost contact with. Since I created my Facebook account, I have reconnected with over a dozen friends and I deeply appreciate having them in my life again.
