Short Hiatus
You might have noticed that there haven’t been any thank you’s posted over the last couple of days. I have them recorded, but I haven’t had time to edit them. I’ll be without computer access for the next week, but the thank you’s will return when I get back and I’ll post 2 each day until I get caught up. I am determined to have 365 thank yous posted on this site at the end of the year!

Thank You 31 – Podiobooks
I listen to podcast novels a lot. Some of my favorite authors are podcasters. Podiobooks is my go-to website for finding free podcast novels. I have discovered books and authors there that I would not have found anywhere else.

Thank You 30 – Science Diet Cat Food
I have a diabetic cat. When he was first diagnosed, I had to give him insulin shots. I hate shots and so did he. For more than three years now, he has been eating Science Diet Kitten food (recommended by the vet). He no longer needs insulin. For this I am thankful.

Thank You 29 – American Football

Thank You 28 – Running Water
I am very thankful that I do not have to go to a well or public fountain to get water, that I can turn on a faucet and get hot and cold running water within my house. Running water means indoor bathroom facilities, showers, dishwashers. I’m soft – I admit that. I can make do without running water for a short time, but I’d rather not.

Thank You 26 – Computers
I started using computers in junior high school. My first computer related class was BASIC programming. Since that time, I have used computers for school assignments, budgeting, presentations, communication, storing and editing artwork, collecting and listening to music, and teaching myself. Computers play a big part in my daily life, so I’m thankful for them

Thank You 25 – Power Tools
I’m a very hands-on person. I like to create and fix things. Power tools – like drills, circular saws, and jig saws let me do minor carpentry, home repair and improvements, and other hobbies.

Thank You 24 – Electricity
Electricity – steady, reliable lights, kitchen and home appliances, heat and air conditioning. We have them, at reasonable cost, because someone discovered how to harness electricity. Do we need more reasons to be thankful for it?

I love vanilla. I love the scent and the taste. I use it in baking, cooking, and brewing. If I have a signature scent, it is vanilla
